Truman Scholarship Program:
The Truman Scholarship is the premier graduate fellowship in the United States for those pursuing careers as public service leaders. It is open to any junior-level, full time undergraduate student pursuing graduate school and will provide generous financial support for pursuing graduate or professional education. Materials must be submitted to ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app’s Truman Scholar website by 3 December 2021. For more information, contact Dr. Robbins. Visit ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app’s Truman Application Portal in order to apply for consideration to become ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app’s Truman nominee. More information on the Truman Scholarship is available with this flyer.
Pizer Foundation Study Abroad Scholorship:
The deadline to apply for the $1,000 Pizer study abroad scholarships is 4 December 2021. Application materials should be submitted, either in paper or electronically, to Professor Michael Baun.
The Winder Best Paper Award
The David W. Winder Best Paper Award in Political Science is named in recognition of Dr. Winder’s long, illustrious service to ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app’s Department of Political Science. The recipient of Winder Best Paper Award also receives the department’s nomination for the Undergraduate Research Symposium. Additional details are shared during the spring semester with the deadline in mid-February.
The Pi Sigma Alpha Paper Award
The Alpha Beta Mu chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha at Valdosta State University recognizes outstanding scholarly work by our student members by recognizing one to three papers each year. The first place recipient further receives the chapter advisor's nomination for the National Pi Sigma Alpha Best Class Paper Award. Paper submissions are accepted in the spring and interested students can contact Dr. Bailey (mbbailey@valdosta.edu) for more information.
