ALBANY CHAPTER, GA SOCIETY of CPAs SCHOLARSHIP

  1. Recipient must be an Undergraduate Accounting student at Valdosta State University.
  2. Award is based on classroom achievement and outside the classroom activities.
  3. Apply to the Department Head of Accounting by completing a ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app General Scholarship Application.

The application must be received no later than March 1. Only complete applications will be considered.

APRIO SCHOLARSHIP 

This annual scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded to an outstanding accounting student. Criteria for application include the following:

  1. Recipient must be a Master's of Accountancy student at Valdosta State University.
  2. Award is based on classroom achievement and outside-the-classroom activities.
  3. Apply to the Department Head of Accounting by completing the MAcc Scholarship Application.

The application must be received no later than March 1. Only complete applications will be considered.

BELK HUDSON MANAGEMENT SCHOLARSHIP

This endowed scholarship provided by Belk-Hudson of Valdosta will be awarded to an outstanding management major. The renewable scholarship is for approximately $2,000. Criteria for application include the following:

  1. The recipient must be pursuing a Bachelor in Business Administration degree.
  2. The recipient must maintain a 2.8-grade point average and make satisfactory progress toward completion of the BBA degree.
  3. The scholarship is renewable if the student maintains a 2.8-grade point average.
  4. Recipients are selected by the College of Business Administration scholarship committee.
  5. Apply to the Office of Financial Aid by completing a ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app General Scholarship Application.

The application must be received no later than March 1. Only complete applications will be considered.

CARR, RIGGS, & INGRAM SCHOLARSHIP

  1. Recipient must be a Master's of Accountancy student at Valdosta State University.
  2. Apply to the Department Head of Accounting by completing the MAcc Scholarship Application.

CITIZENS COMMUNITY BANK SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is awarded based on student recommendations by the Dean of the College of Business Administration. This renewable scholarship is for approximately $1,000. Criteria for application are as follows:

  1. Recipient must have an SAT score of 1000 or higher.
  2. Recipient must have a high school grade point average of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
  3. Recipient must have a current FAFSA on file at the Office of Financial Aid.
  4. Preference will be given to recipients who reside in Lowndes, Brooks, Cook,   Echols, or Lanier Counties in Georgia.
  5. Apply to the Office of Financial Aid by completing a ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app General Scholarship Application.

The application must be received no later than March 1. Only complete applications will be considered.

 COASTAL CHAPTER, GA SOCIETY of CPAs SCHOLARSHIP

  1. Recipient must be an Undergraduate Accounting student at Valdosta State University.
  2. Award is based on classroom achievement and outside-the-classroom activities.

COPELAND RETENTION SCHOLARSHIP

Criteria:

  1. Student must be a rising junior or senior business student at Valdosta State University.
  2. Student must demonstrate a financial need or hardship that could prevent them from continuing their education as a Landale College student at ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app.
  3. Students that are working their way through school will be given preference.
  4. Recipients shall be selected each year by the Langdale College scholarship committee.
  5. Recipients will donate 25 volunteer hours in the Copeland African American Museum.
  6. Apply to the Scholarship Committee Chair by completing the Copeland Retention Scholarship Form.

The application must be received no later than March 1. Only complete applications will be considered.

CRAIG HUNT BUSINESS for COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP

Criteria:

  1. Student must be an official business student in the Harley Langdale Jr. College of Business.
  2. Recipient must be an American citizen.
  3. Student must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
  4. Recipient must be taking classes on ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app’s campus. Online students will not be considered.
  5. Students that are working their way through school will be given preference.
  6. Recipients must have a minimum of 50 documented community service hours annually.
  7. Applicant must apply to the Scholarship Committee Chair by completing the Craig Hunt Business for Community Scholarship Form along with an essay of 500 words or less answering the following questions:
    1. Why do you feel you should be selected for this scholarship?
    2. What career path do you intend to take upon graduation?
    3. How do you intend to give back to your community after graduating from ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app?

 Students may receive the award more than one time if they continue to meet the criteria set forth in the agreement

DRAFFIN TUCKER SCHOLARSHIP

  1. Recipient must be a Master's of Accountancy student at Valdosta State University.
  2. Award is based on classroom achievement and outside-the-classroom activities.
  3. Apply to the Department Head of Accounting by completing the MAcc Scholarship Application.

FIRST STATE BANK AND TRUST STUDY ABROAD SCHOLARSHIP

This Scholarship is awarded to assist a student majoring in business who is participating in a study abroad program.

  1. Student must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 after completing their sophomore curriculum.
  2. Student must be seeking financial assistance for a study abroad program.
  3. Recipients are selected by the Langdale College of Business.

FOWLER, HOLLEY, RAMBO, and STALVEY SCHOLARSHIP

  1. Recipient must be a Master's of Accountancy student at Valdosta State University.
  2. Award is based on classroom achievement and outside-the-classroom activities.

GEORGIA GULF SULFUR BUSINESS – ATHLETE SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship was established by the Georgia Gulf Sulfur Corporation to recognize outstanding performance in the classroom and the field of competition. This is a renewable scholarship. Criteria for application include the following:

  1. Recipient must be fully admitted to Valdosta State University.
  2. Recipient must be majoring in one of the business areas within the College of Business.
  3. Recipient must have a minimum SAT score of 950.
  4. Recipient must be participating in one of ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app’s intercollegiate athletic teams.
  5. Recipient must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5.
  6. Recipient must continue to major in the College of Business Administration as well as continue to participate in one of ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app’s intercollegiate athletic teams.
  7. Apply to the Office of Financial Aid by completing a ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app General Scholarship Application.

The application must be received no later than March 1. Only complete applications will be considered.

GEORGIA SOCIETY of CPAs SCHOLARSHIP

  1. Recipient must be an Undergraduate Accounting student at Valdosta State University.
  2. Award is based on classroom achievement and outside-the-classroom activities.

GAR FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

This $500 scholarship is partially funded by the GAR Foundation. The GAR Foundation scholarship is awarded based on merit. This scholarship is renewable for one year. Criteria for application include:

  1. Recipient must be a business major.
  2. Recipient must maintain a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale grade point average for the scholarship to be renewable.
  3. Apply to the Office of Financial Aid by completing a ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app General Scholarship Application.

JAMES L. DEWAR, SR. – PARK AVENUE BANK SCHOLARSHIP

This endowed scholarship was created in honor of Mr. Dewar, Sr. Criteria for application include the following:

  1. Recipients must be graduates of any secondary school located in Lowndes County.
  2. Recipients must be majoring in business administration.
  3. Apply to the Office of Financial Aid by completing a ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app General Scholarship Application.

LANIGAN and ASSOCIATES SCHOLARSHIP

  1. Recipient must be a Master's of Accountancy student at Valdosta State University.

MAULDIN and JENKINS SCHOLARSHIP

  1. Recipient must be a Master's of Accountancy student at Valdosta State University.
  2. Award is based on classroom achievement and outside-the-classroom activities.

RENASANT BANK SCHOLARSHIP

  1. Recipient must be a ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app student enrolled in the Harley Langdale, Jr., College of Business Administration's MBA Program.
  2. Recipient may receive the award more than one time if they continue to meet the criteria set forth in the agreement.
  3. Recipient shall be selected each year by the Langdale College scholarship committee.
  4. While not a requirement, preference will be provided to applicants from areas where Renasant Bank has offices. this would be defined as the applicant currently residing in or being a dependent of someone residing in an area for more than one year.
  5. Apply to the Office of Financial Aid by completing a ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app General Scholarship Application.

STEELE SCHOLARSHIP

The Steele Scholarship is the Premier scholarship of the Harley Langdale, Jr., College of Business Administration, and this endowed scholarship was created in 2002 to honor the memory of Rea and Lillian Steele. This scholarship is renewable for up to 3 years. Criteria for application include the following:

  1. Recipient must be an outstanding incoming freshman or transfer student.
  2. Recipient must be majoring in one of the five business disciplines.
  3. Recipient must have a minimum SAT score of 1240.
  4. Recipient must have a high school or transfer grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale.
  5. Recipient must be involved in activities, show leadership skills, be active in the community, and show financial need.
  6. Recipient must have a FAFSA on file with the Office of Financial Aid.
  7. Recipient must maintain a grade point average of 3.25 and continue to pursue a BBA degree for the scholarship to be renewable.
  8. Apply to the Office of Financial Aid by completing a ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app General Scholarship Application.

The application must be received no later than March 1. Only complete applications will be considered.

STEELE STUDY ABROAD SCHOLARSHIP

This Scholarship is awarded to assist students majoring in business who are participating in a study abroad program.

  1. Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.8 or have been admitted to the Langdale College of Business.
  2. Students must be seeking financial assistance for a study abroad program.
  3. Recipients are selected by the Langdale College of Business scholarship committee.
