Mission Statement

The name of this advisory board shall be the Harley Langdale, Jr. College of Business Administration Business Advisory Board.  The Business Advisory Board’s mission is to promote and support the development of the Harley Langdale, Jr. College of Business Administration for the purpose of advancing its education, research, and community development services.


The Business Advisory Board (BAB) is a community service organization formed in 1998 by the Harley Langdale, Jr. College of Business Administration to facilitate communication between the College, the alumni, and the business community. BAB members serve on a voluntary basis in an advisory capacity to the Dean of the Langdale College of Business. BAB members use their unique perspective of being leaders in their respective business communities as well as Langdale College of Business alumni to assist the Dean in:
  • Defining institutional goals for Valdosta State University and the Langdale College of Business;
  • Designing strategies to achieve these goals; and 
  • Establishing the reputation of ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥app's Langdale College of Business in the state and the region.
To become a BAB member, one has to satisfy the following two criteria: 1) be a Langdale College of Business graduate, or 2) hold (or have held) the title of Partner, President, Vice-President, Director, Owner of a business, or business professional positions in their organizations. BAB members can remain on the Board as long as they stay active. The Board meets semiannually.
